Here’s something that might be of value or encouragement to those who are new to network marketing.

I’ve been in the industry for roughly 12 years.
I’ve used most methods for lead generation, presenting and following up.
I’ve had months when I couldn’t figure out which end is up.
I’ve had months when I’ve earned far more than most Americans earn in a year.
And I’ve talked to thousands and thousands of prospects…

…and I still don’t have a clue who’s going to “get it” and who’s not.

Not a single clue.

If you lined up 10 prospects who attend a presentation call and asked me to make a bet on which ones will enroll, I’d probably get better predictions from flipping a coin than I would from trying to go by my instincts.

Same applies to new associates…

If I have 10 people who sign up in my business and you asked me to point out which ones will quit and who will follow the system to success… I’d be at a complete loss. I might as well try to read the tea leaves in someone’s tea cup or find the answer in a horoscope.

So, if you’re new in the business — or if you think that there’s some level of awareness at which a networker can attain some kind of sixth sense about who’s going to do what and that you NEED to be able to do that in order to be successful… you don’t. And if such a level of awareness exists, I’ve never attained it. And neither has the top earners I’ve talked to about this.

In other words… If Ronco makes a Super Duper People-Who-Are-Going-To-Be-Successful Detector… I don’t own one.

But, more importantly, it hasn’t kept me from earning a ton of money in this industry or in maintaining my level of confidence and belief that a person can get started in this industry and see results at whatever level they choose and are willing to work for.

My job isn’t to try to predict who will do what. Or to attach emotion to a particular person or outcome. It’s my job just to qualify, sort, and offer information. What they do with it is up to them.

And I’ll know they’re “the one” when I see it!
